Part Time Office / Accounts Assistant – 16 Hours P/W

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our company for a person with a warm, friendly, approachable personality who can work as part of a team or on their own initiative.


Main Responsibilities of the Role

  • Recording of all purchase and sales invoices within Sage One Accounts;
  • Responsible for sales ledger and credit control;
  • Petty cash posting and reconciliation;
  • Company credit card posting;
  • Working closely with other members of the team;
  • Responsible for filing any paperwork as necessary;
  • Answering the phone and dealing with the call;
  • Ad hoc tasks such as travel booking or appointment setting etc;
  • General administration.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experienced user of Sage One or similar accounting software’s as well as Microsoft Excel;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A thorough understanding of the principles of nominal codes;
  • Experience of stock control system or ability to implement;
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately;
  • Experience of working in a demanding environment;
  • Ability to use own discretion to get the job done;
  • A bookkeeping or accounting qualification (desirable but not essential);
  • Ability to adapt to different billing systems.

We are based in Easthorpe between Malton and Castle Howard.

The position is for 16 hours per week across 2 days between Monday to Friday, to be discussed at interview.
